Thistledown Press is honoured to announce that we have won the Publishing Award at the 2026 Saskatchewan Book Awards for Tunnel Island: Stories by Bill Gaston.
The Creative Saskatchewan Publishing Award is presented to Saskatchewan publisher of the best book, based on literary or artistic value, the quality of editing, book design, production and content. This is Thistledown Press’s first time winning this award.
Tunnel Island was edited by Elizabeth Philips, with cover design by Michel Vrana. It is also a finalist for the Ethel Wilson Fiction Prize from the BC and Yukon Book Prizes.
